This is by far the best soundfont piano I've heard bar none! It's only a little over half a meg so you have room left for other samples, and the first preset allows 64 note polyphony. The second has a little stereo doubling.
This piano soundfont is pretty darn good if I don't say so myself. It's stereo and uses memory efficiently without sacrificing quality. It is leaps and bounds better than any of the commercial ones I've heard, and noticibly better than any on my JV2080. You can play it like a real piano. Loud notes sound forte and soft ones sound piano. The damper and ringing notes above F5 add a little subtlety to the sound. NB: This soundfont is in SF2.1 format and will only sound right on an E-MU APS soundcard.
To all harpsichord lovers in the world: this SF is dedicated to the great Harpsichord Player Gustav Leonhart. Special thanks to the Musikhochschule Trossingen www.mh-trossingen.de
Good piano sound, has false-stereo arrangment(takes 2 notes of polyphony for each key strike), also I layered the sound with gradual filter settings, for more playability.
Uses the harpsichord samples of the Chaos GM soundfont to generate all the sounds of a large harpsichord of the "Landowska" type. If you load the font in bank 40, you can try out the author's MIDI files.!
